Summary

Dylan O'Conner, his autistic brother Shepherd, and a comedian called Jillian Jackson's life are permanently changed by an amoral doctor who instigates a new force for good through his wicked activities.

Dylan O'Conner, 20, is traveling with his younger brother Shep. During a visit to an Arizona hotel, he is knocked unconscious and restrained by a doctor, who administers 18 cc's of a golden liquid by syringe using a large-bore hypodermic needle. He warns Dylan that it may have unanticipated consequences.

The doctor ties up Jillian Jackson, a touring comic, and chloroforms her before injecting her with the same medicine.

After escaping their bindings, the two meet just as a huge number of SUVs approach. They had a brief scuffle before fleeing.

They are overtaken with the desire to do the right thing when traveling. Dylan develops psychometric abilities, and Shep demonstrates the capacity to 'fold' from one location to another. They eventually grow to appreciate one other's strengths.

Summary

A shape-shifting extraterrestrial, along with others of his kind, has arrived on Earth to save us from ourselves.

After seeing his whole family slaughtered by wicked aliens focused on stopping him, he embarks on a cross-country quest to save himself.

He stops in the middle of the night at a farmhouse to "borrow" some cash and supplies and finds a sleeping youngster his age. He is able to "become" Curtis Hammond, the boy's exact replica, using a drop of blood from an old bandage.

The terrible aliens arrive seconds after he leaves the house and slaughter the family, leaving just the dog alive. Curtis and the dog escape and wind up at the site of an extraterrestrial sighting.

Castoria and Polluxia Spelkenfelter, twin UFO enthusiasts, know Curtis from news coverage of his murder and resolve to assist him. He eventually confesses his actual nature to them, and they promise to help him finish the assignment he has come to Earth to perform.

The twins, boy, and dog set off together towards Nun's Lake, Idaho, the next place on the twins' schedule while they determine what to do next.

Michelina (Mickey) Bellsong was just released from jail. She has moved in with her Aunt Geneva to start again, but things aren't going as planned. She is adrift and aimless, simply trying to get through the day.

A clever but crippled little girl approaches her as she is sunbathing in the backyard. Leilani Klonk has a malformed hand and a misshapen leg that necessitates the use of a brace. She is smarter and more talkative than the usual nine-year-old, and her wit charms Mickey

Mickey and Geneva get to know the youngster and discover that her mother is a psychotic drug user and her stepfather is a killer. He murdered her older brother Lukipela, and Leilani is the next victim.

Leilani feels that no one can assist her since Preston Maddoc is well-regarded in the academic community. Preston and Leilani's mother, Sinsemilla, travel throughout the country hunting for UFOs, and Leilani knows it's just a matter of time until they return to Montana, where Preston murdered her brother Lukipela

Mickey and Geneva resolve to find a method to assist Leilani, but Preston discovers this and flees with the family in the middle of the night.

Mickey realizes that they have vanished and sets out to find them in order to save Leilani. Leilani had said that they are heading to Nun's Lake, Idaho, the location of a rumored close contact, and Mickey rushes to the town in order to discover the girl.

Mickey comes and proceeds to talk with the man who was "healed" by aliens, only to discover that Leilani's step-father hasn't arrived yet. She searches the home for Preston and follows him to Leilani

Preston is alerted to her existence by the cured man, whom he murders. He slips out of the home and approaches Mickey, knocking her out. He drags her into the deceased man's house and binds her up before speeding back to the campsite.

Curtis meets Leilani at the Nun's Lake campsite and realizes she's in trouble. While Preston is away, he and the twins approach her and persuade her to accompany them.

Leilani is kidnapped by her stepfather and taken to the home where he has concealed Mickey as they rush for the twins' RV.

His objective is to have Leilani witness him kill Mickey before torturing and killing her. When he returns home, he sees that Mickey has escaped her chains. He ditches Leilani, takes her brace and begins looking through the maze of old periodicals and newspapers for Mickey

Leilani enters the maze in search of a route out, where she and Mickey meet. Preston corners them and sets fire to the newspapers in front of them, intending to listen as they burn to death.

Curtis and the twins arrive at the residence, helped by a disillusioned ex-PI sent by Aunt Gen. The PI, Noah Farrell, shoots Preston Maddoc as he speeds through the maze looking for Mickey and Leilani

Preston staggers away, becoming increasingly dizzy from blood loss and smoke inhalation. Noah and Cass locate Mickey and Leilani, and the four of them look for a way out.

Curtis appears in his normal form to save them, and they all flee the home. Preston Maddoc is killed after he gets buried behind a mound of flaming rubbish.

Leilani, Mickey, Aunt Gen, and Noah join Cass and Polly in their attempt to assist Curtis in completing the assignment that has been assigned to him.

Summary

Spencer Grant is a guy with a contaminated, yet hazy history who teams up with Rocky, a lovely dog, on a mission to find a life with Valerie Keene, whom he meets in a nightclub.

When Grant and his dog return to the club, they discover that the woman is late for work. When Grant attempts to locate her at her house, a SWAT-style force bombards the area, confusing Grant. Grant is now on a mission to find Valerie.

In Las Vegas, he hunts for her and is chased by a covert federal organization that is also hunting for Valerie. He is hurt when he is caught in a storm in the Nevada desert. Valerie saves him and treats Spencer's injuries.

Meanwhile, the major antagonist is Roy Miro, a high-ranking official in the agency who has been seeking for Valerie for months. He and the government utilize a satellite to track down Spencer and Valerie in the desert.

Roy and some agents board a chopper and pursue them into a retail mall. Spencer and Valerie hijack a helicopter and travel from Nevada to Colorado to visit Spencer's childhood home.

Spencer was 14 years old when he heard a disturbance in the night and went out to the rear barn to investigate. Spencer discovers his father abusing a lady inside the barn, and he finds a revolver but only wounds his father. His father was later sent to a psychiatric institution.

Roy visits Spencer's father in the hospital and then goes to Colorado to face Spencer and Valerie

Spencer's father shoots Roy in the barn, barely paralyzing him. Spencer then fatally kills his father as he and Valerie exit the barn.

They utilize a satellite heat beam to disable the other agents before fleeing the house and establishing a new life together by assisting a rebel organization against the government agency.

Summary

A group of people is pulled together by their various and equally bizarre illnesses. Dominick has somnambulism, Ginger has unexplained lapses into a fugue state, Father Brendan loses his faith and then has a supernatural 'gift,' and Ernie has nyctophobia.

Dominick receives Polaroids that lead him to the Tranquility Motel, which is located thirty miles west of Elko in the Nevada 'high desert.'

They realize, along with Ned and Sandy, who owns the restaurant next door to the motel, that their genuine memories from the previous summer may have been buried.

Ginger, Jorja, and the other guests at the Tranquility Motel are later contacted and offered to join the organization.

Ginger reveals that Azrael Blocks, a form of brainwashing generated by medications and hypnosis, inhibit their memories. She underwent hypnosis as a treatment to determine the origin of her illness.

The 'community' of Tranquility is unaware that those behind the repression are observing them.

Jack Twist has joined them (who was led to the Tranquility Motel by a series of postcards placed there by an insider).

Finally, the gang devises a plan to discover the government secret concealed in the hills at the Thunder Hill Depository.

Summary

Fear Nothing is followed by Seize the Night, which begins a few months later. It all starts when Chris and his dog Orson run across Chris's ex-girlfriend, Lilly Wing, whose son Jimmy has recently gone missing.

Chris promises Lilly that he will find Jimmy and sets out with Orson to begin the search. The path brings them to Fort Wyvern, an abandoned military post that Chris enjoys exploring.

They examine the base but quickly become separated, and Orson disappears. Chris contacts his closest buddy Bobby Halloway to help him in the hunt, fearing for his dog's and Jimmy's safety, and then sends his current girlfriend Sasha Goodall to Lilly's house to comfort her.

Soon after summoning them, Chris encounters roughly thirty of the rhesus monkeys seen near the conclusion of Fear Nothing and seeks safety in a neighboring home. Bobby's arrival saves him from being discovered by the monkeys who follow him in.

Bobby and Chris investigate the base but come up empty-handed, save for a few unusual machines and chambers. They pass by Lilly's house on their way out. Sasha and Chris return to their home, while Bobby travels to Lilly's mother-in-law Jenna's home to return her to Lilly's.

The following day, Chris contacts Manuel Ramirez, the acting head of police, to provide him with information on Jimmy Wing's kidnapper's car. When he doesn't get a response, he leaves a note for Manuel to phone him after noon. Bobby returns a short time later to inform Jimmy that he is not the only missing youngster.

Later, Manuel warns Chris to back off while taking his and Bobby's firearms and wrecking his home. Roosevelt Frost comes with his cat, Mungojerrie, shortly after he leaves. They all depart and travel to an ancient road a few miles away, where Sasha's radio station employee, Doogie, joins them. They then return to Fort Wyvern to continue looking for the children and Orson.

Chris and his group enter the base, where Bobby is gravely injured in an ambush. He dispatches everyone else to find the kids and Orson, and when they return with them, Bobby eventually dies.

Chris, reluctant to leave Bobby's body behind, insists on carrying it with them on the way out. They literally confront themselves at the top of the shaft on the elevator trip back up, and Chris is able to save Bobby's former self from getting shot. Bobby's body vanishes from the elevator, and Chris takes the living Bobby with him out of the base to bring Jimmy and the other kids to their parents.

Summary

Fear Nothing follows Christopher Snow for 24 hours as he finds and seeks to uncover a strange and apparently eternal conspiracy centered on a military outpost dubbed Fort Wyvern.

The story begins with Christopher Snow visiting his dying father in the hospital. The lights are deliberately muted as Snow walks across the hospital to his father's room to protect him in his state. His father's final words of wisdom were, "Chris, don't be afraid. Have no fear "…

As he walks out of the hospital, Christopher Snow unintentionally and serendipitously witnesses his father's body being swapped with that of a drifter.

Following the persons transporting the body to the funeral home, Christopher is almost apprehended, and a manhunt is launched. Christopher is pursued to the outskirts of town, and only his mastery of the night terrain allows him to stay ahead of his pursuers.

When Christopher returns home, he discovers his father's revolver on his bed, as well as an urgent message on his answering machine to contact Angela Ferryman, a nurse, and longstanding family friend.

Orson, the family dog, is digging holes in the garden, which is unusual for him. Christopher halts the pet and takes Orson with him to meet Angela, who tells a weird narrative about a night some years ago when she discovered a strange rhesus monkey in her house, a scary beast rescued by secretive military officials. Before anything further is disclosed, Angela is slain in another room, and Christopher barely escapes when unknown perpetrators set fire to the residence.

Christopher rides his bike (with Orson) to the home of his closest buddy Bobby Halloway, a surfer who lives in a cottage on the outskirts of town near the sea.

Bobby advises Christopher to leave the mystery alone and go about his daily life after hearing Chris' narrative.

The guys enjoy some meals and a few beverages together (including the dog). Sasha, Christopher's girlfriend, interrupts their lunch with a message from another of Christopher's friends.

The message drives him and Orson racing into the darkness, where they are pursued by a swarm of mutant rhesus monkeys headed by a mysterious creature like a half-man, half-beast.

As Christopher meets with Roosevelt Frost, an ex-football star who now concentrates on a knack for communicating with animals, he has cautioned off his inquiry once more, but now feels determined to solve this riddle.

Frost alluded to unusual, abnormally intelligent animals escaping from the military base, such as cats and dogs.

Later, he suggests to Christopher that his dog, Orson, is most likely from the military base laboratories. He makes a cryptic remark about Christopher being shielded by his mother's inheritance.

Summary

The battle against mankind has started. Only now will things be different. Victor Leben, a.k.a. Frankenstein, has not only glimpsed the future but is also prepared to inhabit it.

He plans to create a race of superhumans by combining stem cells, "organic" silicon circuitry, and nanotechnology. With a strong, enigmatic backer anxious to see his goal realized and a hidden location where the opponents of progress cannot find him, Victor is certain that nothing and no one can stop him this time.

It is up to five individuals to disprove him. Nothing less than the survival of humanity is in their hands. They are brought together in various ways, by frightening and magnificent omens, to the same devastating conclusion: the man they knew as Victor Helios lives on two years after he died.

Erika 5, Victor's engineered wife, and her companion Jocko, Carson O’Connor and Michael Maddison as well as the tortured Deucalion, Victor's first creation, have all landed in a modest Montana town, where their old collaboration will be refreshed and then tested by powers internally and externally, and where the challenges they face will exceed any prior hardships they have confronted.

Despite their risk, love and joy will develop, and they will uncover sources of strength and resilience they could never have anticipated.

Summary

They are more powerful, heal quicker, and think faster than any human ever created—and they must be eliminated. But not even Victor Helios—once Frankenstein—can stop the created murderers he's unleashed on modern-day New Orleans.

The sole chance now lies with a former "monster" and his all-too-human colleagues, Detectives Carson O'Connor, and Michael Maddison

Deucalion's centuries-long history began with Victor's first, unsuccessful effort to create the perfect human–and it is doomed to finish with the final confrontation between a wretched creature and his insane creator.

But first, Deucalion must destroy a horror that not even Victor's evil imagination could have imagined—an invincible thing that emerges from humankind's collective nightmare with one goal in mind: to replace it.

I'm working on several other projects right now, and as soon as I finish them, I'll include a proper summary for this book.

Summary

The basic narrative follows New Orleans detective Carson and her partner Michael as they search for "The Surgeon," a serial killer.

Deucalion, once known as The Monster, is alarmed by reports of this serial murderer, believing that his old master and creator, Dr. Victor Frankenstein, has returned.

When Carson meets Deucalion, the investigation takes a darker turn, leading Carson and Michael down the road of a 200-year-old mystery and evil that threatens more than just New Orleans.

In New Orleans, a serial killer is on the loose and killing nonstop. A number of women have been discovered dead with one or more body parts missing–feet, hands, ears, lips–you get the picture.

A few men have also died after having their internal organs removed medically. The inquiry is being led by detective partners Carson O'Connor and Michael Maddison

She is aggressive and hard-driving both inside and outside of the automobile. Maddison is her polar opposite: a devoted spouse who is constantly able to mock himself and Carson in a way that keeps things honest.

Carson is also in charge of her younger autistic brother Arnie, who is constructing a castle fortress in his room.

The stronghold is a symbol, a warning that something far more sinister is at work than just a serial murderer.

Carson's first clue is Deucalion, a mystery guest. He's reportedly the inheritor of a theater and has arrived in New Orleans from a monastery abroad.

He moves with fast speed, employing an extraordinary sleight of hand, and has enormous scars tattooed on one side of his face.

He claims to be almost two centuries old, made from body parts, and brought to life by Victor Frankenstein by a lightning strike.

He believes that Frankenstein, also known as Victor Helios, is still alive in New Orleans and poses as a local benefactor. He also forms a particular relationship with Arnie, who is in peril as well.

The true story is significantly more sinister. Helios has honed his ability to produce human life, ostensibly soulless but improved beings, and a perfect race infiltrating civilization until Helios fulfills his aim of eradicating humanity.

However, something isn't quite right. Some of those who were created with no ambitions other than to serve Helios and to be submissive to his whims are starting to think, act, and even murder on their own.

It turns out that you can't make people and expect them to stay robots. They want significance, joy, or even just to be free of Helios—wishes that are far more human than Helios would allow.
